Nonperturbative Renormalization and the QCD Vacuum
We present a self consistent approach to Coulomb gauge Hamiltonian QCD which allows one to relate single gluon spectral properties to the long range behavior of the confining interaction. Nonperturbative renormalization is discussed. The numerical results are in good agreement with phenomenological and lattice forms of the static potential. Typeset using REVTEX 1
متن کاملThe Nonperturbative Wave Functions, Transverse Momentum Distribution and QCD Vacuum Structure
It is shown that there is one-to-one correspondence between two, apparently different problems: 1. The determination of the meanvalues of transverse moments 〈~k2n ⊥ 〉 for the nonperturbative pion wave function ψ(~k2 ⊥, x) and 2. The evaluation of the mixed vacuum condensates 〈q̄Gμνq〉. Arguments in favor of a large magnitude of the mixed vacuum condensate 〈q̄(igσμνGμν)q〉 are given. The analysis is...
متن کاملGluons, Quarks, and the Transition from Nonperturbative to Perturbative Qcd
Lattice-based investigations of two fundamental QCD quantities are described, namely the gluon and quark propagators in Landau gauge. We have studied the Landau gauge gluon propagator using a variety of lattices with spacings from a = 0.17 to 0.41 fm to explore finite volume and discretization effects. We also introduce the general method of “tree-level correction” to minimize the effect of lat...
متن کاملNonperturbative dynamics in the colour – magnetic QCD vacuum
In the deconfinement phase of QCD quarks and gluons interact with the dense stochastic colour–magnetic vacuum. We consider the dynamics of quarks in this deconfinement phase using the Field Correlators Method and derive an effective nonperturbative interquark potential, in addition to the usual perturbative short–ranged interaction. We find the resulting angular–momentum–dependent interaction t...
متن کاملNonperturbative QCD Vacuum Effects in Nonlocal Quark Dynamics
A straightforward calculation reveals the essentially nonlocal character of the leading heavy QQ̄ interaction arising from nonperturbative gluon field correlations in the model of a fluctuating QCD vacuum. In light of this quarkonium spin splitting ratio predictions which have supported the scalar confinement ansatz are reconsidered as a specific example of possible consequences for spectroscopy.
